How big does the group need to be?
We can accommodate between 1 and 120 people at one time. Smaller groups or individuals are easily accommodated. We mainly use canoes but kayaks are available.
How much does it cost and how is payment accepted?
The cost is $20 per person. Tax is included.
At the time of your trip we can accept only cash or credit cards only.
Where do I go for the River Tour?

What days can the event be booked?
Our river tours run on most Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings and begin in mid June. Bookings can be made online at this link, or by phone at 204 290 7325
What kind of canoes are provided?
We have numerous types of canoes available. These include Royalex/plastic and fiberglass composite canoes. We also have 6 person canoes and tandem kayaks. We now have a Voyageur Canoe capable of holding 8 adults!
Who transports the boats?
We do! Our staff will meet you at the predetermined location with the canoes, along with all the equipment needed: paddles, life jackets, safety equipment.
How old do the participants need to be?
We do not set a minimum age, but we do recommend that inexperienced youth under 12 years of age have an adult in the canoe with them. We do have family-style canoes that can hold two adults and four kids comfortably, as well as our new 8 person canoe.
How safe is it and is much experience is required?
We have been renting canoes to individuals and families without incident for 20 years. When choosing routes for group events like these we have kept in mind that this might be the first time canoeing for our customers. Safety on the water should never be taken for granted; however, the the La Salle River is generally calm in nature and not excessively wide. These qualities make this river a choice place for beginners to hone their paddling skills.
How long are the routes?
We have designed the routes to fit nicely as an evening activity, as such the routes take about 2 hours.Summer evenings are long and warm and allow your group to participate in other park activities of your own design at the end of your trip. Labarrier park has a first rate free Frisbee golf course.
What should be brought by the renter group?
We recommend that the following items be brought: suntan lotion, sunglasses, drinking water and any snacks you might want, insect repellent, cameras can be a good thing to bring especially if you are able to provide a waterproof container for them.
